Day One - Leaving DTW and Arrival in Hawaii

We left DTW around 12:30pm our time and arrived in Hawaii around 4:30pm their time. We waited two hours in line at Thrifty car rental to pick up our reservation. The long line wasn't fun, but they were friendly and got us a good deal on an upgrade to a bigger car. By the time we got to the hotel it was already dark. We ventured out to check out the beach and grab a pizza at the restaurant next door.

Day Two - Local Beach and Lanikai Trail Hike

We started the day off with breakfast at the hotel restaurant and then checked out the local beach area. We then then made our way over to the Lanikai Trail Hike to see a couple of the old "Pill boxes". Trey waited in the car, Chelsea made it to a landing point before the first "Pill box", Courtney made it to the first "Pill box", Kenna, Nick and myself made it to the second "Pill box" The views were absolutley amazing and the pictures really don't do it justice.

Day Three - Sunrise, North Shore, Shark's Cove, Sunset, and Fireworks

Day three started off with catching the sunrise at Wikiki beach. We then headed off the the North Shore and Shark's Cove. While at Shark's Cove we did some snorkeling and sight seeing. We tried to hit the Dole Plantation, but it started pouring rain just as we pulled into the parking lot, so we headed out. We ended up back at Wikiki beach for sunset and fireworks. After the fireworks we ended the night with a few drinks at the hotel bar.
